Victoria Beachcomber RV Rental

Reservations:  A $500.00 deposit  is required to hold the dates for a rental.  This deposit then becomes the security deposit for the rental.

Payment:  Payment for the entire rental must be made in full prior to departure; if paying by cheque the cheque must arrive in time for it to clear prior to the rental, two weeks, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.

Cancellation Charges:  No refunds will be given when a cancellation is made within 30 days of departure date. If a renter cancels a reservation before 30 days a fee of $100.00 is charged. No refunds for “NO SHOWS”. No refunds are given for early returns.

Security Deposit:  On departure day a deposit of $500.00 is required. If a reservation deposit has been made this becomes the security deposit. This deposit is refundable within 30 days, usually within 1 week from rental return, if a rental unit is returned on time, undamaged and clean, with no evidence of smoking or pets inside, complete with all equipment.

Pick Up and Drop Off:  Pick up time is 2:00 pm and drop off time is 11:00 am unless prior arrangements have been agreed to. Late fees of $ 50.00 per hour will be charged for rentals returned late.  At the time of pick up please plan for approximately 1 hour to learn the
different systems in the unit.

Drivers Licence:  For Motorhome rentals the driver must be 25 years old and must have a valid driver's licence for the entire rental period. No special licence required. An international driver's license is required for foreign tourists.

Repairs/Maintenance Responsibility: Our vehicles are kept in top mechanical condition. In the unlikely event that a mechanical failure occurs, guests are authorized to proceed with the necessary repairs up to $100. For expenses over $100, guests must telephone Victoria Beachcomber RV Rentals for authorization before proceeding with repairs.
Original parts must be returned with the rental vehicle for reimbursement. Guests assume full responsibility for damage to tires and undercarriage. Oil, tire pressure and coolant must be checked at each refueling. Costs for oil will be refunded upon presentation of receipts.

The company's responsibility is limited to the refund of the daily rate, or portion thereof, if the breakdown repair is longer than 48 hours..

Loss of Battery Power:  Victoria Beachcomber RV Rentals will not be responsible for loss of use of the fridge, furnace, or lights for low or dead auxiliary battery if the renter is not plugged into an electrical plug available at most campsites.

Restricted Usage: Travel on gravel and or logging roads, beaches, Mexico, Yukon and Northwest Territories is strictly prohibited. Travel during winter freezing conditions requires the renter to take extra precautions with fluids any damage caused by plumbing freeze up will be charged to the renter. Roof storage, sitting and standing on roof is NOT allowed at any time.

Negligence:  Renters may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in rental unit operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. Renters are responsible for checking tire pressure and insuring oil and antifreeze levels are full before driving.

Awning: Renters are responsible for any damage to the awning during rental period. Awning should be retracted overnight, when absent from the RV and in any moderate to heavy wind.  Awnings are very delicate and can be damaged easily.  Typical problems arise from setting up too close to fires, too low for doors to open properly and during setup and take down of the awning.  Make sure to follow the set up and take down procedure.  Currently the Corsair awning is not available.

Propane:  Propane tanks will be provided full at time of departure and MUST be refilled upon return.

Waste Water System: Do not camp with wastewater valves open and the RV must be returned with the toilet and grey water dumped.

Pets:  Pets are not allowed in rental units.

Cleaning:  Rental units are to be returned clean or a $ 50.00 inside charge and $50.00 outside charge will apply. Cleaning supplies are provided.

Smoking:  Smoking is NOT permitted inside any rental unit.  A $ 300.00 charge will apply if a rental unit has been smoked in.

General Conditions: Every effort has been made to ensure that the information on our website and brochure is correct. Rental unit descriptions are general and are subject to change without notice. Beachcomber RV Rentals will not be held responsible for any losses incurred by renters which may have resulted from rental units being damaged, stolen, or returned late by previous renters.

Generators $65/week for large generator that will run Air Conditionaing and microwave.

$35/week for smaller generator that will charge the rv batteries.

Portable tank.  This allows you to leave the rv set up and dump your black water tank.  Ideal for sites that don't have sewer such as in provincial campsites.           $25/week.
